Our History
In 1790 a group came together to start a ministry that would have dramatic affect on the wilderness territory of the United States. Officially being founded in the early 1800's, this meeting soon became known as the American Sunday School Union. The purpose of this union was to establish sunday schools in rural areas that had no church or formal Christian teaching. Once the Sunday schools started, there became a need for the union to broaden their horizons and in 1974 the union again changed their name to reflect that change of focus. It was this ministry that established Hall Church in 1952 and its purpose is, to this day, to teach the Word of God to the rural ranching community in the Sandhills of Nebraska. Through expanded children's ministries, new outreach programs, and connectivity programs, Hall church, following God's command, continues to provide both a place for growth spiritually (Spiritual strength), mentally (Mental aptitude), and physically (Practical application) as well as a place to get together to help each other grow and be a place of love and hope.
